I went to my apps store on my iPhone and downloaded Aviary photo edit. Once it downloaded I opened it and clicked on photos on the bottom left of the screen. I then selected a photo from my camera roll. I picked a photo of my ring, I cropped it to blow up the picture for a closer view of the ring detail. I then selected an effect that would go good with making the ring pop out more, and I chose the effect called Dean. After I selected that effect I pressed apply and it saved. Then I went to select a frame for the picture that was called Grit which outlined the photo with a fussy look. After that I pressed apply then done.
I downloaded Picasa 3 to try because I have never used it before. I selected a picture that I wanted to edit. I then right clicked on the picture and clicked on view/edit. Once I got to the edit screen I cropped the picture to what I thought would look good in the picture. I wanted a closer view of the four wheeler stuck in the river with the bushes around the river. I turned up the highlights of the picture to make it pop more. Then I turned up the shadows to show more detail in the picture of the leaves on the bushes and the sun shinning on the river with the four wheeler stuck in the river. Then I turned up the color temperature that brightened the picture a little more to darken it to show even more texture.
